BIOGRAPHY
JANE
NAPIER has been teaching tap for 21 years. Her dance background
includes tap, jazz and ballet. She has studied tap with
Raymond Winton, Mickey Renard, Pat Rico & Miriam Nelson;
ballet with Maxine Renard & Nico Charisse, and jazz
with Alex Plasschaert.
She
has produced, directed & choreographed the stage shows,
“Tap Cats,” “Fabulous Feet” and
“Celebrate Tap” at the Palisades Theater in
Pacific Palisades, and “A Tap Tribute to Jazz”
at The Miles Playhouse in Santa Monica. She is the director
and choreographer of The Upstairs Studio Dancers who have
been entertaining at many private and community events in
the Southern California area for over 10 years.
She
was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the City
of Los Angeles in recognition of outstanding citizenship
and activities enhancing community betterment.

BIOGRAPHY
MARK MARCHILLO
takes his tap influences from mentor, Dean Barlow, (of Paula
Abdul fame), and friend, Miriam Nelson. He studied classical
ballet at the Marin Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet
School, performing with the San Francisco Ballet as a teenager.
As a child Mark
studied under film choreographer, Marguerite Derricks (jazz),
for many years. He has performed in TV and films including
the PBS series, American Family, and feature film, The Cardinal
Code. His choreography credits include several music videos,
the TV pilot, Dragon Tales, and two feature films.
A graduate of the USC film school, he is also a professional filmmaker. For several years he performed with the renowned professional group, “Rhapsody in Taps.” |
